Brookfield Zoo Going Prehistoric with Dinosaurs Alive!
Dinosaurs Alive! They’re coming back to Brookfield Zoo, and they will be bigger and better than before. Some favorites are returning but many are new!

Starting in April 2013, Brookfield Zoo guests can take a trip back millions of years and experience Dinosaurs Alive!, presented by Dominick’s. Come and enjoy this unique, fun, and educational exhibit of Tyrannosaurus proportions that will feature supersized animatronic dinosaurs, including favorites like Stegosaurus and Triceratops, as well as obscure dinosaur species with unusual characteristics, like feathers.

Saturday, April 6, to Sunday, October 27, zoogoers will be able to roam a winding trail with 24 state-of-the-art life-size animatronic prehistoric creatures featuring all your ferocious favorites. While Shantungosaurus—the largest dinosaur to walk on two legs—will stand at more than 20 feet tall and 50 feet long in Roosevelt Fountain, a tented showcase will highlight the most recent paleontological findings that birds evolved from dinosaurs. In addition, guests will learn how dinosaurs are relevant to today’s world and how changes in climate may have led to their extinction.

Guests will also learn about prehistoric flowers and plants and will have the chance to view real fossils. Using mobile technology, such as QR codes and streaming videos, guests can quiz themselves and learn answers to questions posted around the exhibit.
