Canceled-Cookie Cockatoo's 80th Birthday
Since being off exhibit for the past several years, Cookie has made a once-a-year appearance to his fans on his birthday. However, this year Cookie’s 80th birthday party is cancelled. Believed to be the oldest Major Mitchell’s cockatoo in professional care, Cookie is currently experiencing additional age-related heath issues. He will be celebrating his birthday quietly off exhibit with his zookeepers.
