Snow Leopards at The Fragile Kingdom
Not everybody loves winter precipitation but some cats just love snow! In late 2011, two snow leopards, a female and a male from two different zoos, took up residence at the Big Cats area in The Fragile Kingdom. The pairing of Sarani, a 1-year-old female from Tautphaus Park Zoo in Idaho and her new mate, Sabu, a 1½-year-old from Cape May County Park Zoo was based on a recommendation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) Snow Leopard Species Survival Plan (SSP)....read more»
