Brookfield Zoo Open for Business Tomorrow, April 20

Brookfield, Ill.—Brookfield Zoo will be open for business again tomorrow, Saturday, April 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The zoo expects to return to regular operating hours on Sunday, April 21, and the Party for the Planet celebration and Electronic Recycling event will take place as scheduled that day.

Most of the animal exhibits will be open. However, because some of the exhibits will be closed, general admission to the zoo will be free on Saturday, April 20. (A parking fee still applies.)

Some streets near the zoo may still be closed, so the public is encouraged to check local traffic and road closure reports for the most current updates before planning their visit to the zoo. For further information, go to the zoo’s Web site at www.CZS.org/PlanYourDay.

The Chicago Zoological Society, which manages Brookfield Zoo, inspires conservation leadership by connecting people with wildlife and nature. The Chicago Zoological Society is a private nonprofit organization that operates Brookfield Zoo on land owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. The zoo is located off First Avenue between the Stevenson (I-55) and Eisenhower (I-290) expressways and is also accessible via the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), Metra commuter line, CTA, and PACE bus service.
