2013 Whirl

Events & Outreach
The Women’s Board hosts the largest fundraiser for the Chicago Zoological Society, Whirl, which raises over $1,000,000 annually. Other important projects include the Women’s Board Scholarships, which rewards students in the pursuit of conservation leadership; and Community Outreach Events, increasing the reach of the Society by partnering with organizations that may not have the opportunity to experience the zoo’s magnificent animals. Over the years, the Women’s Board has contributed millions of dollars to maintain the Society’s long-standing history of being at the forefront in animal care and conservation.
