FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Valentine’s Dinner Offered on the Wild Side at Brookfield Zoo
Brookfield, IL—Spend a romantic Valentine’s with your significant “otter” at Brookfield Zoo for a unique dining adventure. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in The Swamp, where you will be among playful North American river otters, alligators, and a variety of bird species, including snowy egrets.
Afterwards, take a ride on the heated Snowball Express to Bocaditos, where the zoo’s executive chef will have prepared a delectable dinner. The evening’s menu features tomato bisque followed by a salad of baby greens, candied pecans, sliced fruit, and crumbled bleu cheese with raspberry vinaigrette. An intermezzo of lemon sorbet precedes the main course of petit filet mignon and lobster. Accompaniments include twice baked potato and fresh vegetables. Be sure to save room for a sinfully mouthwatering dessert. Premium wine and champagne will be available throughout dinner. The night continues with dancing ‘til midnight.
The cost is $225 per couple. For further information and to make reservations, visit www.CZS.org/Valentine or call (708) 688-8355.
Celebrating its 75th year, the Chicago Zoological Society, which manages Brookfield Zoo, inspires conservation leadership by connecting people with wildlife and nature. Open every day of the year, Brookfield Zoo is located off First Avenue between the Stevenson (I-55) and Eisenhower (I-290) expressways and is also accessible via the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), Metra commuter line, CTA, and PACE bus service.
