Zoo Tunes at Brookfield Zoo Features Latin Music on Sunday, July 18
Enjoy the Sounds of Latin Grammy-Nominated Artist Belinda
Brookfield, IL— Shimmy and shake the summer away at Brookfield Zoo’s fourth annual Zoo Tunes. This free summer concert series, presented by Bank of America, features exciting, family-friendly musical performances all summer long on the zoo’s East Mall. On Sunday, July 18, guests can listen to a trio of performers, including Belinda, Grupo 2012, and DJ Jesse El Grandote.
Guest can enjoy a live performance by Latin Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and actress Belinda at 5:00 p.m. Her music, a fusion of Latin, pop, and rock, is sure to get the audience up on their feet dancin’. A child actress turned recording artist, Belinda Peregrin Schull has starred in three television series for the Televisa station, the last of which, Cómplices al Rescate, featured a soundtrack on which she made her vocal debut. She has released two albums: her debut solo record, entitled Belinda, and her new album, titled Carpe Diem.
The festivities kick off at 3:00 p.m. with performances by opening acts DJ Jesse El Grandote from La Kalle 106.7 FM followed by Grupo 2012 at 4:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by La Kalle 106.7 FM, La Que Buena 105.1 FM, and American Airlines.
The final Zoo Tunes concert will be held on Sunday, August 29, featuring performances by Cowboy Troy & Cross County Junction (1:00 p.m.), The Lost Trailers (3:00 p.m.), and Jimmy Wayne (5:00 p.m.).All Zoo Tunes performances are free with regular zoo admission of $13.50 for adults and $9.50 for children 3-11 and seniors 65.
