Our dolphins are currently preparing to go on vacation this fall, while Seven Seas is being remodeled. There are no dolphin shows scheduled until next spring, to allow for the necessary training and preparation for the upcoming trip.

Underwater Viewing is currently open, and we're offering special drop-in hours in the Dolphin Stadium from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. daily. Stop by to find out more about the scheduled renovations, and vacation preparations. Staff will be on hand to share trip and renovation details and answer any questions.

At Seven Seas, the underwater adventure often goes airborne.

Atlantic bottlenose dolphins captivate audiences with aerial displays and other performances that show off their incredible intelligence and agility. Learn about dolphin social structures, adaptations, and more when you attend one of Brookfield Zoo’s daily Dolphin Shows.

For a more in-depth look, take the outdoor staircase to Underwater Viewing. Observe dolphin life beneath the surface and learn about how CZS plays an important role in dolphin conservation.

Dr. Randy Wells, one of the world’s foremost dolphin scientists and head of the longest-running wild dolphin study, shares his insight at the Dolphin Research Boat—located at the end of a short dock in the Underwater Viewing gallery. Video screens and surround-sound speakers bring Sarasota Bay, Florida, close enough so that you can almost feel the ocean breeze as you listen to Dr. Wells’ and his research team.

Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo is accredited by the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums.
