During these programs, children learn through play with their favorite play partner: you! Artists, nature educators, and early childhood specialists planned these programs from the same principles used to design Hamill Family Play Zoo, which connects children and their families to wildlife and nature.
Newborn to 18 Months
Buggy Buddies
It’s part play group, part zoo class, a little exercise, and lots of fun! Songs, games, a zoo visit, and some play time at the end make the time spent strolling and socializing fly by!
Mondays from September 15 to October 20

1 to 3 Years
Seedlings
Enjoy this “nature play group” while making new friends through play activities, songs, and meeting a weekly animal visitor. This class is perfect for siblings or friends to take together.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays from September 16 to November 9

2 to 3½ Years
Colors, Stripes, and Spots
Animals are covered in all kinds of markings, and you’ll explore the zoo to find who is wearing what! Children will learn through movement, creative play, stories, art, and songs. Animal visitors in class and snacks will complete the fun.

It’s all the fun of “Colors, Stripes, and Spots,” described to the left, but developed for the interests and learning styles of a slightly older crowd.
