Coatimundis (coatis for short) are relatives of the raccoon with a long, pointed muzzle, a long, bushy and ringed tail, and brown to red-brown fur. The coatimundi is locally threatened is some areas as a result of ongoing habitat loss and hunting. You can support the coatis here at Brookfield Zoo by adopting them and sharing in their care!
