Have a Backstage Adventure

If you have always dreamed of being an animal care specialist, now is your chance! Work side by side with our animal care staff as they care for the animals that call Brookfield Zoo home. Get started by choosing the animal or experience that you're most interested in. Try one or try them all!

Giraffe Feeding

Stop by Habitat Africa: The Savannah along the 31st Street Walkway and deliver up some delicious greens that our resident giraffes will take right from your hand. No reservation required! (Please note: feedings are weekends-only in October as well as on October 14).

Penguin Encounters

Get up close with Brookfield Zoo's resident Humboldt penguins. Interact with our ambassador penguins while learning about their behavior, fun facts, and details of our conservation work in Peru.

Poolside Penguin Feeding

Enter the Rocky Shores habitat located in The Living Coast and help the animal care staff feed the penguins! There's no better way to interact with our resident Humboldt penguins and be a part of their daily routine. (Please note: Penguin Feeding is only available May 27 - September 2).

Each Backstage Adventure has its own rules and requirements. Please note any specific requests or reminders related to your selection. If you have any questions, please e-mail backstageadventures@czs.org
