Bringing Brookfield Zoo To You

Brookfield Zoo may be temporarily closed but we want to keep the connection between animals and our members, guests, and friends. That's why we're bringing the zoo to you. Tune in for Bringing The Zoo To You live chats on our Facebook page every weekday at 11:00 a.m. Central and enjoy a live chat with our animal care staff and some of our animals. We're going to be bringing you some of the coolest and most interesting animals around while also providing informative sessions that engage and educate. All videos will also be available on our Facebook page and YouTube channel afterward. Make sure you join the Bringing The Zoo To You event page so you'll get a reminder each day.

Each week, we'll also add new "I Scienced" At-Home e-learning resources right here in order to build on the knowledge learned in the chats and encourage more animal-related education. The activities are aimed at ages PreK-2 and 3-5, but we encourage any young animal lovers to participate.

As a non-profit, Brookfield Zoo relies on ticket sales, donations, annual memberships, fundraising events, philanthropic gifts and support from our community partners. Consider making a donation that will immediately support our animal care and welfare programs, as well as, other critical operations of the Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo. Your contribution is so important and will be used in the area of greatest need at the zoo during this uncharted and challenging time. You can also link your Amazon account to Brookfield Zoo via the AmazonSmile program. For every eligible purchase you make, Amazon will donate 0.05% to us. We appreciate your support!

For more fun photos and videos of our animals, be sure to follow Brookfield Zoo on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.

"I Scienced" At-Home Activities

Week of March 30 Activities (click to download): This week, Broofield Zoo's Animal Care Specialists presented a variety of animals that live in different places. These animals have special body parts and features (called "adaptations") that enable them to survive and thrive in their environments.
