Every day is Earth Day at Brookfield Zoo, but on this very special day we will be showcasing some of the steps you can commit to that will truly make a difference for animals across the globe! Visit the Eco Expo featuring Earth friendly vendors, drop off recycling, enjoy live entertainment, plant a tree, and enjoy green activities and crafts. We will have special Zoo Chats on giraffe’s (the featured animal for this year’s Party for the Planet and Zoo Run Run). Party for the Planet will be filled with educational, engaging, and fun activities for the entire family.

10am - 4pm - Eco Expo - Pavilions
10am - 3pm - Meet Nature Cat from WTTW’s new public television series.
11:00am and 3pm - Rhino Zoo Chat
12:00pm, 1:45pm - Recycle the Day Performance - Bison Pavilion
1:30pm - Animal Ambassador Zoo Chat - Bison Pavilion

Draw your Earth Day resolutions in chalk – Carousel Plaza

Free Admission for Military Personnel

To show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the men and women in the United States Armed Forces, the Chicago Zoological Society is offering free admission to Brookfield Zoo to all active, reservist, and retired members of the military. Qualified personnel who present a valid ID at one of the zoo's admission booths will be admitted free of charge.
