Lecture: Fighting the Good Fight to Save Africa’s Iconic Species

Damien Mander is the founder of the International Anti-Poaching Foundation which trains rangers in Mozambique and other parts of Africa to prevent poaching of iconic species, in particular rhinos. The IAPF was founded in 2009 with a mission to develop, implement and resource anti-poaching solutions to protect rhinos and elephants from illegal poaching. IAPF plays a critical role in safeguarding rhinos, elephants and other endangered wildlife, as well as their critical habitats.

In this presentation, Damien will discuss the role of anti-poaching rangers in southern Africa and what is required today to safeguard the environment for tomorrow. Damien will also discuss how we can all be agents for change in a generation that is challenging the natural world.
