Vet Tech Internships & Externships

              
 

Externships:
Students currently pursuing a veterinary technician certificate that are interested in working within the zoo and aquatics field are invited to apply for placement in the Zoo's veterinary hospital. Through partnerships with Joliet Junior College and Fox Community College, currently enrolled students are asked to submit a cover letter, resume, transcript, and two letters of recommendation. Applications for the Vet Tech externship are accepted on a rolling basis to better accommodate school schedules and class requirements but the externship experience will take place during the spring semester.

Internships:
Students who have completed a veterinary technician certificate that are interested in working within the zoo and aquatics field are invited to apply for placement in the Zoo's veterinary hospital. Applications for Vet Tech are accepted year-round but internship experiences take place in the fall.
