An Elephant in the Room…

Dr. Douglas-Hamilton is the CEO of Save the Elephants, an organization that he founded in 1993 to protect elephants and stop the ivory trade. He was the first to notify the world of mass poaching in the 1970s while investigating the status of elephants in Africa. He helped begin the worldwide ivory trade ban after his investigation.

CZS and Forest Preserves Staff Implant Fish with Transmitters

Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC) and Chicago Zoological Society (CZS) staff spent Thursday morning implanting radio transmitter chips into fish species for research purposes at McGinnis Field Station in Orland Park.
