Animal Ambassador Program

Animal Ambassador Program
Our new Animal Ambassador Program, supported through a gift from The Grainger Foundation, is a first of its kind in Chicagoland. It allows guests to get up-close views and personal experiences with some amazing animals around the zoo's grounds.

Staff will pop up in random places, bringing with them animals trained to engage guests. Common and unusual mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians will take center stage for anyone lucky enough to encounter them. Through these animals, staff can convey the importance of conservation. Bringing people closer to animals is just one way we will help others gain an appreciation for all citizens of the natural world.
