Enjoy Lions and Lagers, Anteaters and Ales at Brookfield Zoo’s ZooBrew
Features More than 80 Beers and Live Entertainment

     Brookfield, Ill. – ZooBrew comes back to Brookfield Zoo this year with its fifth annual one-of-a-kind, 21-and-over beer-tasting event, sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Company. Attendees can sample more than 80 different types of ales, lagers, stouts, porters, and malts on Friday, August 26, and Saturday, August 27, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Zoogoers can quench their thirst with beers from 35 breweries, including 51st Ward Beer Company, Abita Springs, Alarmist Brewing, Blue Moon Brewing Company, Blue Nose Brewery, Brickstone Brewing Company, Empirical Brewery, Exit Strategy Brewing Co., Finch’s Beer Co., Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Goodwood Brewing Co., Guinness, Hacker Pschorr, Henrys Shield, Hopothesis Beer Company, Lakefront Brewery, Inc., Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, McGargles, New Belgium Brewing, New Holland Brewing, Noon Whistle Brewing, Paulaner Munich Bier, Redd’s Apple Ale, Revolution Brewing, Samuel Adams Boson Lager, Sierra Nevada, Southern Tier Brewing Company, The Traveler Beer Co., Tocayo Brewing Company, Truly Black Type High, and Weihenstephaner.

The event is sure to please everyone from seasoned beer aficionados to brew novices looking to expand their beer knowledge and understanding. ZooBrew will also feature a variety of food options and local live bands each night. U.F.C. Band will rock the zoo on Friday night and No Alternative will have classic sing-alongs from every era on Saturday.

A variety of types of tickets are available:

  • A general admission ticket ($45) includes 3 oz. samplings from more than 80 beers and a commemorative tasting glass.
  • VIP tickets ($75), which are available on August 26 only, include early admission to the ZooBrew tent starting at 4:00 p.m.; exclusive access to the VIP Beer Garden, presented by Brickstone Brewing Company, featuring samplings of select specialty brews, snacks, and food; a visit with some of the zoo’s ambassador animals; 3 oz. samplings of more than 80 beers; and a commemorative tasting glass.
  • A general admission designated driver ticket ($25) and a VIP designated driver ticket ($35) are also available and include unlimited soft drinks (no beer sampling allowed).

Discounted tickets are available for Brookfield Zoo members. All tickets will be an additional $10 on the day of the event. Located on Brookfield Zoo’s East Mall, ZooBrew is for adults ages 21 and over; children will not be allowed to attend the event. All ticket options include free parking and admission to the zoo from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are limited and available
