ZooBrew Returns for a Weekend of Animals and Ales at Brookfield Zoo
Sixth Annual Festival Offers More Than 80 Beers, Live Entertainment, and More
     Brookfield, Ill. – Back for its sixth year, ZooBrew – a beerfest like no other – returns to Brookfield Zoo on Friday, August 25, and Saturday, August 26, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The 21-and-over event, sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Company, offers zoogoers the chance to sample more than 80 ales, lagers, stouts, porters, and malts while taking in wildlife and nature.
ZooBrew has something for everyone: sampling both new and favorite specialty beers, a variety of food options, live music, and a silent auction that features memorabilia from participating breweries. On August 25, local band To the 9’s will entertain guests by playing classic tunes from every decade. The following evening, Fletcher Rockwell will have everyone dancing with their original songs and vintage music from rock and roll to contemporary and country music.
Nearly 30 breweries will be in attendance to quench your thirst, including 2 Fools Cider, Abita Brewing Company, Alarmist Brewing, Band of Bohemia, Boston Beer Company, Brickstone, BuckleDown Brewing, Diageo, Dogfish Head, Exit Strategy Brewing Company, Finch Beer Co., Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Hofbräuhaus Chicago, Kinslahger Brewing Company, Lakefront Brewery, Mark Anthony Brands, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, MillerCoors, New Belgium Brewing Company, New Holland Brewing, Noon Whistle Brewing, North American Breweries, Paulaner, Revolution Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Southern Tier Brewing Company, Tocayo Brewing Company, and Wild Onion Brewery.
            A variety of ticket options are available, all of which include free parking and admission to the zoo that day (from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.):

  • General admission tickets ($55) include 3 oz. samplings from more than 80 beers and a commemorative ZooBrew tasting glass.

  • VIP tickets ($85), which are available on August 25 only, include early admission to the ZooBrew tent starting at 4:00 p.m.; exclusive access to the VIP Beer Garden, featuring samplings of select specialty brews, snacks, and food provided by Chuck’s Southern Comforts Cafe; a visit with some of the zoo’s ambassador animals; 3 oz. samplings of more than 80 beers; and a commemorative ZooBrew beer mug.

  • A general admission designated driver ticket ($35) and a VIP designated driver ticket ($45) are also available and include unlimited soft drinks (no beer sampling allowed).

All tickets will be an additional $10 on the day of the event. Located on Brookfield Zoo’s East Mall, ZooBrew is for adults ages 21 and over; children will not be allowed to attend the event. Tickets are limited and available at
