Dash through the Nighttime Reindeer Run at Brookfield Zoo

Brookfield, Ill. — Grab your glow sticks and lace up your running shoes for the return of Brookfield Zoo’s Reindeer Run, presented by ALDI. On Saturday, November 20, participants of all ages will be some of the first to see the zoo all lit up for its Holiday Magic®, while enjoying a fun run along a two-mile course entirely within the park.

Participants and spectators can enjoy music in the Pavilions or take a spin or two on the Carousel before and after the run. Registered participants, who are 21 or older (with valid ID), will receive a complimentary beverage, courtesy of Revolution Brewing, the event’s supporting sponsor. Guests also can enjoy healthy and replenishing on-the-go snacks, including fruit squeezies, energy bars, and additional giveaways at the ALDI booth (while supplies last). Additionally, a selection of food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The non-competitive and festive Reindeer Run begins at 7:00 p.m. just south of the Carousel. Registrants may enter and check-in at the North Gate entrance beginning at 5:30 p.m. Spectators are welcome to cheer on their favorite runners, but will have limited access to the North Mall only, including the start/finish line area, the Pavilions, and Carousel Plaza.

Reindeer Run is a rain, shine, or snow event. Brookfield Zoo encourages all participants to be prepared and wear proper clothing and footwear. Registration for Reindeer Run is $30 per person plus a minimal transaction fee, which includes a commemorative warm knit beanie featuring the Reindeer Run logo. Space is limited.
