Symposium Hotel: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Oak Brook

We have a block of rooms reserved for the conference at the DoubleTree in Oakbrook. The discounted rate is $125 per night with breakfast for up to four people per room. Room rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes.
Participants interested in staying at the symposium hotel will be responsible for calling the hotel directly at (866) 812-3959 and making their own guestroom reservations. Alternatively, participants wishing to stay at the hotel can reserve a room by clicking on this link (http://doubletree.hilton.com/en/dt/groups/personalized/C/CHIOADT-BRO-20171008/index.jhtml). Reservations will be accepted at the group rate prior to the cutoff date or until the contracted block has been filled, whichever comes first. Reservations requests received after the cutoff date of September 17, 2017 will be taken on a rate and space availability basis. However, we are anticipating that the room block will fill up quickly and recommend making reservations as soon as possible.
The Brookfield Zoo is conveniently located in the suburbs of Chicago offering many travel options. The symposium hotel is located in Oakbrook, IL which is 15 miles from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and 21 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport. Please check the websites provided for travel details to and from each airport.
All presentations and discussions will take place at the Brookfield Zoo Discovery Center at 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, IL. A complimentary shuttle will be available to and from the symposium hotel. All others will be required to park in the Discovery Center parking lot in the Northeastern corner of the zoo.

Sunday October 8th, 2017
Participants are welcome to visit the zoo during the day, however transportation will not be provided other than for the symposium keynote address. Busses will depart symposium hotel at 5:00pm sharp. Sunday evening will include time to socialize over heavy appetizers and drinks before the keynote presentation that evening. Buses will return participants to the conference hotel at approximately 8:30pm.

Monday October 9th, 2017
Busses will depart symposium hotel at 8:00am sharp. Throughout the day we will have oral presentations followed by a poster session with light appetizers and drinks. Buses will return participants to the conference hotel at approximately 6:30pm. Participants are on their own for dinner Monday evening with plenty of options available across the street at Oakbrook Center (https://www.oakbrookcenter.com/en/dining.html).
Tuesday October 10th, 2017
Busses will depart symposium hotel at 8:00am sharp. Throughout the day we will have oral presentations and a panel discussion followed by a closing dinner this evening. Buses will return participants to the conference hotel at approximately 8:00pm.
