Our summertime event is back for a sixth season!  Enjoy Brookfield Zoo in a new light with cooler evening weather, enhanced dining, beer and wine garden, live music, roaming performers, Animal Ambassadors, and a new laser light show, all surrounded by wildlife and nature.

*Due to the extreme temperatures this weekend, some activities will be modified or cancelled.

FAQs

Where does Summer Nights Concerts take place?
On the East Mall, between BZ Red Hots restaurant and Roosevelt Fountain.  

Do I need to bring my own chairs/blankets? 
Yes. Picnic table seating is extremely limited and first come, first served so we recommend bringing your own lawn chairs and blankets.  

Are outside food and drinks allowed?
You can bring outside food and non-alcoholic drinks to Summer Nights Concerts.  Food and drinks will also be available for purchase at several locations including Castaway Grill, BZ Red Hots, and the Beer Garden.  

Is alcohol allowed at Summer Nights Concerts? 
Alcohol is allowed in designated areas. Alcoholic beverages are sold at various locations throughout the zoo, and they must be consumed at the point of sale.

Can alcohol be brought to Summer Nights Concerts?
Bringing alcoholic beverages into the park is prohibited.

How much does it cost to attend Summer Nights Concerts? 
Summer Nights Concerts are FREE for Members!  Non-members can buy a general admission ticket to attend Summer Nights Concerts. 

Will any animal buildings be open? 
Some animal buildings will close at 5:30 pm and some will remain open until 8:30 pm.  See the schedule above or click here for the full listing of activities

What happens if it rains?
Summer Nights Concerts take place rain or shine but can be cancelled at any time due to wind, lightning, or severe weather.

How do I get to Brookfield Zoo?
Brookfield Zoo is accessible via bus or train. Both options will take you to the zoo's South Gate. For more information go to: Public Transport to Brookfield Zoo.

I am bringing a large group to a concert.  Are there any discounts? 
Groups of 20 or more qualify for a discount.  Purchase tickets through Group Sales!

Free Admission for Military Personnel

To show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the men and women in the United States Armed Forces, the Chicago Zoological Society is offering free admission to Brookfield Zoo to all active, reservist, and retired members of the military. Qualified personnel who present a valid ID at one of the zoo's admission booths will be admitted free of charge.
