VOLUNTEER

Thank you for your interest in serving Brookfield Zoo Chicago as a volunteer. We are so very grateful you would like to share your time and talent celebrating animals and nature with our guests.

At this time, volunteer applications are currently closed. However, we do anticipate new volunteer recruitment to resume this summer for positions that will start in the fall, including the selection of trainees for our newly revised Docent Training Program. Please check back in Summer 2024 for all the latest details!

WORKING DIRECTLY WITH ANIMALS

Our volunteers do not handle animals, do not work directly with animals, and are not involved in animal husbandry. If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience working with animals for your career development, and are currently enrolled in a university degree program, consider our 12-week Internship Program. If interested, please click here or send an e-mail to interns@brookfieldzoo.org.
