Earth Day: A Party for the Planet

Location: Brookfield Zoo North Parking Lot

Date: Saturday, April 24, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Every day is Earth Day at Brookfield Zoo but on this very special day we'll be showcasing some of the steps you can take that will truly make a difference for animals across the globe!

If you've been storing items in your basement and garage waiting for the perfect time and most Earth-friendly way to dispose of them, you can recycle them at Brookfield Zoo! On Saturday, April 24, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the zoo will be collecting electronics, textiles, and used books (list of acceptable and unacceptable items below).

Please enter the gate on 31st street, (around the corner from the main north lot). Please see map for exact location.

  • Reservations are not required for dropping off recycling, but ticket reservations are required if you plan to visit the zoo.

The process is easy. Drive into the north parking lot and representatives from the zoo and its partnering organizations will collect your items for recycling. THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS!
