Updates on Rain Forests of the Whirl

Location: Online

Date: Beginning on Thursday, April 23

Due to the growing concerns regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Chicago Zoological Society, with the support of our Board of Trustees and Women’s Board, has decided to transition the format of this year’s Rain Forests of the Whirl gala, scheduled on April 25, 2020, to a virtual event.

Join Us for Our Virtu-Whirl!

Show your support by participating in our upcoming online event. We’re bringing the Whirl to you….this time as Virtu-Whirl! Starting on Thursday, April 23, you can bid on auction items or participate in our paddle raise, all from the comfort of your own home. There’s no need to worry about a tux or dress this year. Instead, we can focus on what this is all about – supporting the Chicago Zoological Society! The auction will close on Saturday, April 25, at 9 p.m.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on ticket sales, zoo visits, memberships, education program fees, donations, and meeting revenue to operate.  Being closed through, at least, April 30 will have a significant impact on our overall operating budget. We hope that we can still rely on your continued support, and ask that you consider making a gift that will immediately support our animal care and welfare programs, as well as other critical operations of Brookfield Zoo. To make a donation, fill out the form below or visit czs.org/donate or call (708) 688-8560.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to welcoming you back to Brookfield Zoo soon.
