Western Gray Kangaroo - Rooby

Rooby was born at Potter Park Zoological Gardens in Lansing, Michigan and arrived at Brookfield Zoo in March 2021, along with her half-sister Troody.  Gray kangaroos are bipedal (move with two legs) and have powerful hind legs and tail.  They move by hopping about 4-6 feet, but can jump to heights of 10 feet and lengths of 26 feet.  Able to reach speeds of 30mph, gray kangaroos are fast enough to escape most predators.  Their predators include dingoes, eagles, foxes, and humans.  Consider supporting Rooby today to help contribute towards the feeding and care of our western gray kangaroos.
