However, at this time, all volunteer positions are filled.

A limited number of volunteer positions for special events and for volunteers in the Hamill Family Play Zoo may be available later this fall and into winter 2024. Please check back on this page in August 2023 for the most updated information.
 
Our annual new Docent Training Program curriculum is under revision and there will not be a new Docent Training Program in Fall 2023. We appreciate your patience.

KING CONSERVATION SCIENCE SCHOLAR PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The King Conservation Science Scholars Program is an interactive college and career readiness experience program open to all high school students. Our adaptable, skill-building program prepares high school students to be a change-maker through increased animal, conservation, and community awareness and educational opportunities. VOLUNTEERING FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

WORKING DIRECTLY WITH ANIMALS

Our volunteers do not handle animals, do not work directly with animals, and are not involved in animal husbandry. If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience working with animals for your career development, and are currently enrolled in a university degree program, consider our 12-week Internship Program.
