The Kemp's Ridley is the world's smallest sea turtle, with an olive-gray carapace and light yellowish to green plastron. Front flippers have one nail. Back flippers are significantly shorter and have one or two nails. The turtle's head is triangular in shape with a slightly hooked beak.
